Inter-house sports competition held at Bogura MSSC

The annual inter-house sports competition of Millennium Scholastic School and College (MSSC) in Bogura followed by distribution of prizes was held at its playground here today.

General Officer Commanding (GOC) of 11th Infantry Division and Bogura Area Commander of Bangladesh Army Major General Md. Khaled Al Mamun, PBGM, ndc, psc, was present on the occasion as the chief guest,” said a press release.

Nahid Sharmin attended the events as a special guest while Chairman of the Board of Directors of the institution Brigadier General Sufi Md. Ataur Rahman, ndc, psc, was also present.

The principal, vice-principal, teachers, high-ranking military officers of Bogura cantonment, members of the MSSC Board of Directors, parents and local dignitaries were present.

MSSC, one of the best educational institutions of Bogura, organised the daylong sports competition as part of co-educational activities with the participation of 323 young students in 53 events.

In his welcome address, the chief guest mentioned the need for co-curricular activities outside the compulsory studies to make the students competent and humane.

“The creative co-education programme will give us a new generation full of vitality who will take our beloved Bangladesh much more forward,” he said.

Principal of the institution Lieutenant Colonel Md. Mahafuz Ul Bari highlighted the overall success of the institution.

“In addition to regular class education, MSSC has been regularly organising such pleasurable events at the beginning of the academic year every year for the mental and physical development of students,” he said.

At the end, there was a charming assembly performance and prize distribution session with the participation of children and students.
