43 SPs promoted to additional DIG

The government has promoted 43 Superintendents of Police (SP) to the rank of Additional Deputy Inspector General (DIG).

The Public Security Division of the Home Ministry on Tuesday issued a gazette notification signed by deputy secretary Dhananjay Kumar Das in this regard.

The order will be effective from their joining date.
