Bank branch managers asked to discharge duty with sincerity

Senior bankers have asked the branch managers of Rajshahi Krishi Unnayan Bank (RAKUB) to discharge their duty with utmost sincerity and honesty to attain the targets of loan disbursement and recovery and deposit collection.

They also urged them to speed up the farmers-level lending activities for boosting agricultural production to meet the gradually increasing food demand.

All the credit programmes of the bank should be need- oriented and emphasis should be given on reaching banking services to the doorstep of the farmers.

They were addressing a daylong monthly performance review meeting of branch managers of Rajshahi Zone of the bank held at the conference hall of the bank’s training institute here on Saturday.

Managing Director Abdul Mannan addressed the meeting as the chief guest  with Zonal Manager Sheikh Rezaul Islam  in the chair.

General Manager Joynal Abedeen, Deputy General Managers Shawkat Shahidul Islam and Mijanur Rahman and Zonal Audit Officer Nahid Afsan also spoke.

Abdul Mannan laid stress on bringing all the existing potential sectors and sub-sectors of agriculture economically vibrant. He said the pro-farmers banking in the bank must be ensured for cherished development of the region after the best use of its existing natural resources.

Mannan urged the participants to promote different innovative ideas for making the banking services more client-friendly.
