
Bashundhara Kings face Muktijoddha Sangsad tomorrow

Defending champions Bashundhara Kings take on Bangladesh Muktijoddha Sangsad Krira Chakra in a third-round match of the TVS Bangladesh Premier League Football scheduled to be held tomorrow (Saturday) at Shaheed Ahsan Ullah Master Stadium in Tongi, Gazipur.
In the day’s another match of the third-round fixture, spirited Lieutenant Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club meets Bangladesh Police Football Club, to be held at Shaheed Bir Flight Lieutenant Matiur Rahman Stadium in Munshiganj.
Both, the matches kick off at 3 pm.
Bashundhara Kings have secured three points from two matches while Bangladesh Muktijoddha Sangsad yet to open their account playing the same number of matches.
Earlier, Bashundhara Kings made a losing start in the league as they suffered a 1-2 goal defeat to newcomers of the league Swadhinata Krira Sangha in their league opening matches, but they bounced back to register a hard-fought solitary goal victory over Uttar Baridhara Club in their second match of the league.
While the freedom fighters Bangladesh Muktijoddha Sangsad Krira Chakra suffered a solitary goal defeat to Abahani Limited, Dhaka in their league opening match and went down a 0-3 goal defeat to Lieutenant Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club in their second match.
On the other hand, Lieutenant Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club has secured six points winning both their league’s matches while Bangladesh Police Football Club collected one point playing the same number of outings.
Earlier, Lieutenant Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club beat Uttar Baridhara Club by 2-1 goals in their league opening match and defeated Bangladesh Muktijoddha Sangsad Krira Chakra by 3-0 goals in their second match of the league.
While Bangladesh Police Football Club lost 0-1 goal to Saif Sporting Club in their league opening match, they showed a much-improved performance against Abahani Limited, Dhaka forcing them to play a 1-1 goal draw in their second match of the league.
