BNP introduced politics of killing in Bangladesh: Quader
DHAKA: Awami League General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader today said BNP introduced politics of killing and abduction in the country.
“Cutting of cake (by BNP) on the National Mourning Day on August 15 is politics of vengeance. BNP initiated politics of killing and abduction in the country,” he told a discussion and doa mahfil marking the National Mourning Day at Krishibid Institution Bangladesh (KIB) auditorium here. Bangladesh Krishak League arranged the discussion followed by distribution of foods among distressed and poor people on behalf of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
AL Joint General Secretary Mahbubul-Alam Hanif, MP, Organizing Secretary Mirza Azam, MP, Agriculture and Cooperatives Affairs Secretary Faridunnahar Laily addressed the discussion, among others. Krishak League President Samir Chanda chaired the programme moderated by its General Secretary Advocate Umme Kulsum Smriti, MP.
Hanif said Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman was assassinated under the patronization of the defeated forces of the 1971 Liberation War and Ziaur Rahman was the visible beneficiary of the killing. BNP founder Ziaur Rahman had incorporate Indemnity Ordinance in the country’s Constitution to stop the trial of Bangabandhu’s assassination while he had given jobs to killers in foreign missions after the four national leaders were killed inside safe custody of Dhaka Central Jail, he said.
The AL joint general secretary said the BNP founder had brought back Ghulam Azam to the country while he made Shah Aziz and Abdul Alim as ministers. Following the footnotes of Ziaur Rahman, his wife Begum Khaleda Zia also, when she was the prime minister, made Motiur Rahman Nizami as minister in 2001.
