BNP leader Ishraque Hossain held in Capital

Police arrested Ishraque Hossain, a BNP leader and son of late BNP leader and former mayor of Dhaka City Corporation (DCC) Sadek Hossain Khoka, from the city’s Motijheel area today.

“Ishraque Hossain was arrested from Motijheel area in Capital at about 11 am today,” deputy commissioner (Motijheel Division) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Md Abdul Ahad told the media.

He said police arrested Ishraque, a former mayoral candidate of Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC), as he was wanted in a case.

Police arrested the BNP leader while he was distributing leaflets in Motijheel area protesting price hike of essential commodities.
