BNP won’t be able to go to power through plot: Hanif

Awami League (AL) Joint General Secretary Mahbubul Alam Hanif today urged BNP to participate in the next general elections following the democratic procedures.
“BNP would not be successful to go to power through conspiracy…. the threat of a movement against the Awami League government would not bring any result,” he said while speaking at the triennial council of Lakshmipur Pouro and Lakshmipur Sadar Thana units of Awami League as the chief guest at N Ahmedia Government Primary School ground.
Hanif said Bangladesh is not Sri Lanka, conspiracy of BNP-Jamaat against Awami League will not be successful.
He said BNP-Jamaat doesn`t want development of the country because they belief in Pakistani ideology. Now, Bangladesh is more developed then Pakistan, which BNP doesn`t like, the AL leader added.
Hanif said Bangladesh is marching forward day by day under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and now, Bangladesh is a role model of development in the world.
Lakshmipur Pouro Awami League president Ismail Hossain Chowdhury presided over the council while AL organising secretary Abu Sayeed Al Mahmud Swapan, agriculture and cooperative affairs secretary Faridun Nahar Laili and relief and social welfare secretary Sujit Ray Nandi attended the meeting as special guest.
Lakshmipur District AL president Golam Faruque Pinku, general secretary Nur Uddin Chowdhury Nayon also spoke at the event. Lakshmipur Zilla Parishad Administrator Md Shahjahan, AL leaders M Alauddin, Mizanur Rahim, Mozammel Haider Masum Buhiyan, M.A Momin, Shamsul Islam and Russell Mahmud Bhuiyan were present, among others.
