
BRAC University Sightsavers launch youth disability project
BRAC University and Sightsavers, an international NGO, launched a new research project looking into the challenges and aspirations of young people with disabilities in Bangladesh at Lake Castle in the capital on Tuesday. The project titled “British Academy Youth Futures Research” will capture the experiences of young people with disabilities living in urban and rural settings in Bangladesh, said a press release. Prof Dr Md Golam Rabbani, Chairperson of Neuro-Developmental Disability Protection Trustee Board attended the programme as the chief guest while Provash Chandra Roy, Director at National Foundation for Development of the Disabled Persons, and Shobnom Mustary, Deputy Director of Ministry of Social Welfare were present as the special guests at the event jointly hosted by Sightsavers and BRAC James P Grant School of Public Health.
