BSCIC half-yearly evaluation meeting held in Rangpur

A half-yearly evaluation meeting of Bangladesh Small and Cottage Industries Corporation (BSCIC) on progress of development
and expansion activities in 16 districts under Rajshahi and Rangpur divisions was held here today.
Rajshahi regional office of BSCIC organised the evaluation meeting at the conference room of Rangpur Deputy Commissioner in the city.
The district level office heads and industrial city officials of BSCIC from Rajshahi and Rangpur divisions participated in the event.
BSCIC Chairman Md. Mahbubor Rahman attended the meeting as the chief guest with BSCIC Rajshahi Regional Director (Deputy Secretary) Md. Rezaul Alam Sarkar in the chair.
Rangpur Deputy Commissioner Md. Asib Ahsan and BSCIC Director (Skills and Technology) Mahbubur Rashid (Deputy Secretary) addressed the meeting as special guests.
At the meeting, the district-level office heads and industrial city officials discussed the progress of their development and expansion activities from July 1 to December 31, 2021.
The BSCIC Chairman gave necessary directives to the participating officials to promote eco-friendly globally competitive industries, creation of skilled human resources and jobs and poverty alleviation to build a prosperous Bangladesh.
He put emphasis on sustainable production growth in medium, small and cottage industries, balanced regional development, ensuring maximum utilization of money and human resources to further speed up socio-economic development.
