CCCI launches selling essentials at subsidized rates

Chattogram Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI) started selling essential items at subsidised rates among the low income families here today during the holy month of Ramadan.

CCCI President Mahbubul Alam inaugurated the selling process at the Chamber House premises in Agrabad commercial area in the city.

“Like previous years, this time we have launched selling the essential commodities among the poor at subsidised price. It is a worship to stand by the poor people particularly in the month of Ramadan,” said Mahbubul Alam.

The CCCI president also urged the traders not to create any artificial crisis of consumer goods and hike the prices of essential commodities.

The subsidised sale activities will continue till 26th Ramadan everyday from 10 am till 2 pm.

Vice-president of CCCI Syed Mohammad Tanvir, directors Ohid Siraj Chowdhury (Swapan), Anjan Shekhar Das, Md. Omar Farooq, Hasnat Md. Abu Obaida, Fauzul Alef Khan, Engineer Iftekhar Hossain, Sajir Ahmed, Md. Iftekhar Faisal, SM Tahsin Jonaid, Mohammad Adnanul Islam, Tanvir Mostafa Chowdhury and Mohammad Nasirul Alam, among others, were present at the inaugural function.
