Child drowned in city’s Boubazar area

A two-year old child drowned in a ditch in the city’s Boubazar area today.

The child, Abdur Rahman, fell into a ditch while playing at 11am. Local people rescued him in a senseless state and sent him to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) where the duty doctor declared him dead around 1pm.

He was the son of Md Al Amin, a toy-trader.

Md Masum Mia (ASI), assistant in-charge of Dhaka Medical College and Hospital police camp, confirmed it.
