Covid-19: Bangladesh records lowest daily death toll in 40 days

Dhaka:  Bangladesh registered 37 deaths from Covid-19 in the 24 hours to Friday morning, taking the total number of deaths in the country to 11,833.

The latest single-day death toll is the lowest since March 29, when health authorities recorded 45 deaths. On March 28, the daily Covid-19 death toll was 35.

The country also logged a total of 770,842 coronavirus cases with 1,682 people testing positive over the past 24 hours.

The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) revealed the latest figures on Covid-19 in the country through a press release on Friday.
