DNCC Mayor- list of grabbed streets

Ward Councillors under the Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) has been directed to provide a list of occupied roads to the Corporation.

The DNCC mayor Md Atiqul Islam has given the instruction to the Ward Councilors during a vertual Zoom board meeting recently.

Md. Atiqul Islam expressed concern that several roads in different wards of DNCC have been illegally occupied by some building owners deviationing RAJUK’s design. “Therefore, the Dhaka North City Corporation has decided to evacuate those roads and ensure their width according to the actual design. ‘

After the list is prepared, the councilors of the concerned wards in collaboration with the property department of the DNCC will ensure the widening of the roads by removing illegal occupants, the DNCC Mayor added.
