Education activities begins at the GUB campus in Gazipur in a festive atmosphere
Majharul Islam, Gazipur:- Gazipur is an ancient and prosperous town nurtured with centuries of history and tradition. The only private university in the district, German University Bangladesh (GUB), has sprung up in the Telipara area near the Chandna crossroads in the heart of the city of Gazipur with its immense potential.
This educational institution is playing an important role in the higher education of the students of the surrounding area. Here in the multi-storied building, in another pleasant environment, the educational activities of this university are being conducted through discipline by experienced teachers in different departments.
The University has been moving forward with a long reputation since its inception. The country has also been affected by the global coronavirus virus. In that situation, the government announced the closure of educational institutions in the country to implement health rules to deal with corona. In that continuity, German University Bangladesh also closed its educational activities on its campus. But during the Corona period, German University Bangladesh (GUB) conducted educational activities through a virtual online platform. After a long time, when the situation in Corona returned to normal, the government gave instructions to open educational institutions.
Following the official instructions, the German university Corona later started teaching on campus. On Friday (November 12, 21) morning, a Well Come Back to University Party was organized by the Computer Programming Club of the Computer Science and Engineering Department on the University campus. Vice Chancellor of German University Bangladesh Prof. Dr. Md. Shamsuddin was present as the chief guest on the occasion. Was a special guest – Register. Abul Kalam Azad, Head of the Department of Social Sciences, Professor. Md. Moazzem Hossain Mia. Presided over the ceremony – Assistant Professor and Head of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering. Abdur Rahim. Among others were present-lecturer. Shahabub Alam, Lecturer-Zakaria Jobayer. The students of CSE department cut the cake and flew colorful balloons to celebrate the well come back to university party.
At that time flowers and greetings were exchanged between the students and teachers. Meanwhile, it has been informed that up-to-100 percent waiver is being given to the diploma holders CSE, FSE and EPT and BT poor meritorious students in the university. The departments in which education is conducted at this university are: BSc in Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), BSc in Food Science and Engineering (FSE), BSc in Environmental Protection Technology (ETP), B.Sc. English, BSS Honors in Sociology, BBA Bachelor of Business Administration, BSS Honors in Public Administration, BSS Honors in Economics, MBA and EMBA, MSc in Computer and Science Engineering, Humanities.
