Final round of Bangabandhu National Football begins tomorrow

The final round of Bangabandhu National Football Championship 2021 begins from tomorrow (Saturday) at Achmat Ali Khan Stadium in Madaripur.
Kushtia District Football team takes on Chattogram district football team in the day’s inaugural match at 1.30 pm while Bangladesh Army football team meets Cumilla district football team in the day’s second match of opening day’s fixture that begins at 3.30 pm.
A total of ten districts football and services teams, split into two groups, are taking part in the meet, organized by Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF).
After the group phase engagements, the top two teams from each group will play the cross semifinals scheduled to be held on July 1 at Birshreshtha Shaheed Sepoy Mohammad Mostafa Kamala Stadium at Kamalapur in Dhaka while the final of the championship is slated on July 4 at the same venue.
The champion team of the tournament will receive cash prize of Taka 3,00,000 (three lakh) while the runners-up team will have Taka 2,00,000 (two lakh).
In this regard, a press conference was held today (Friday) at the conference room of BFF to provide all the details of the meet.
BFF competitions committee’s chairman and BFF’s executive member Harunur Rashid, BFF member Eias Hossain, BFF’s professional league committee’s deputy chairman Abdur Rahim and BFF’s general secretary Abu Nayeem Shohag, among others, were present in the press conference.
