Four business establishments fined Tk 9,500 in Cumilla

A mobile court, in a drive, here today realized Taka 9,500 as fine from the owners of four business establishments
in different areas of Homna upazila of the district this morning.

Sources concerned said the mobile court led by Executive Magistrate and Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Ruman Dey conducted the drive in different places under Homna upazila around 10 am.

The business establishments were fined Taka 9,500 for various irregularities and in the violation of the Consumer Rights Protection Act-2009.

Members of the law enforcement agencies assisted the mobile court while conducting the drive.

Ruman Dey told the media that the campaign will continue to keep essentials’ price stable during the holy month of ‘Ramadan’.
