International Women’s Day : Human chains and Seminars held in Maheshpur

Maheshpur Correspondent  : A discussion meeting and human chain was held on the occasion of International Women’s Day at Bathangachhi Rural Society in collaboration with BRAC Social Empowerment Program in Maheshpur on Tuesday.

Upazila Women’s Affairs Officer Saiful Islam addressed the discussion as the chief guest under the chairmanship of Sufia Begum, president of Bathangachhi Palli Samaj.

Among others, members of Palli Samaj Tahmina Khatun, Rozina Khatun, Duli Begum and others spoke. Romana Yasmin, FOCEP of the program, assisted in the overall program.

At the end of the seminar, a human chain program was held on Belmath to Bathangachhi Road. The speakers discussed the theme of Women’s Day.
