JU VC mourns death of Silver screen legend Kabori
JU Correspondent: Jahangirnagar University (JU) Vice Chancellor Prof Dr. Farzana Islam today expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of noted film actress and former lawmaker Sarah Begum Kabori.
In a condolence message, the VC recalled the glorious career of Kabori and said that her death has created a vacuum in the arena of film industry.
Prof. Farzana prayed for the eternal peace of her departed soul and conveyed sympathy to the bereaved family members.
The two-time National Film Award winner actress Sarah Begum Kabori died of COVID-19 at about 12:20 am on Saturday while undergoing treatment at Sheikh Russel National Gastroliver Institute and Hospital in the capital. She was 71.
