Press conference held over attack and looting in Maheshpur

Oliar Rahman, Maheshpur:- Shahabuddin, (40) son of late Hazari Malita of Bolibhadrapur village, held a press conference at Maheshpur Press Club on Thursday over the attack and looting Maheshpur in the incident goats eating crops.

At the press conference, Shahabuddin said that when he closed his gold shop (Jewelers) at around 9 pm on June 13 and reached home, Ashiq, Sujan, Rajan, Abul Hossain, Ariful Islam, Chanchal and Wasim led by Jalal Uddin, son of Ershad Biswas of Bolibhadrapur village, entered his house. When his wife Shabana and brother Ali Uddin tried to stop him, they were also hacked and seriously injured. He added that the assailants snatched two heavy jewelery from his shop and a gold chain around his wife’s neck and cash worth around Tk 190,000. The injured are currently admitted to Maheshpur Hospital.

The injured Shahabuddin and his wife demanded exemplary punishment for those involved in the incident. Shahabuddin filed a case in Maheshpur police station over the incident. Whose Case No. 58/392 dated 14/06/21.
