QC’s provides 57,970 people with food aid

Qatar Charity (QC), an international NGO, provided food packages under its programmes of `Feed the Fasting` and `Zakat al-Fitr` to the needy communities in Bangladesh, benefiting 57,970 individuals.

Giving priority to orphans and widows, QC implemented these two programs in 33 places across the country, said a press release on Saturday.

 As part of the Ramadan aid program, each family of was provided with 42 kg of foodstuffs for one month—containing rice, cooking oil, sugar, lentils, dates and salt.

Under the Zakat al-Fitr programme, each of the targeted beneficiaries was given 7kg food parcel.

A total of 26,470 beneficiaries from different regions received Ramadan aid while 31,500 people got Zakat al-Fitr food parcels.

QC’s programmes during Ramadan in Bangladesh received a lot of appreciation from government officials and they also took part in the distribution programs in many places. They thanked its patrons and hoped it will be continued in the future for the welfare of the needy people.

Expressing satisfaction over receiving the Ramadan food packages, the beneficiaries also thanked Qatar Charity and its benefactors.
