Quader meets WB country director Mercy Miyang Tembon

Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader today called on World Bank (WB) Country Director for Bangladesh Mercy Miyang Tembon at the latter’s office in the secretariat here.

During the meeting Quader, also general secretary of Awami League (AL), emphasized fast implementation of the projects on road security, funded by the World Bank.

Mercy Miyang Tembon praised the economic development of Bangladesh under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. She said World Bank is proud of Bangladesh for its impressive progress in the last couple of years.

Road Transport and Highways Division Secretary Md Nazrul Islam, AKM Manir Hossain Pathan chief engineer of the Roads and Highways Department (RHD) and World Bank Program Coordinator Dilshad Dossani, among others, were present at the time.
