Rain likely in parts of country

Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) today predicted rain or thundershowers in parts of country and dry with temporary partly cloudy sky elsewhere over the country in the next 24 hours commencing 9am today.
“Rain or thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at one or two places over Dhaka, Mymensingh, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions,” said the BMD bulletin.
The Met office also predicted that day and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country.
The highest temperature on Monday was recorded 35.5 degree Celsius at Rajshahi, while today’s minimum temperature was 14.9 degree Celsius in Tetulia.
Highest rainfall for the last 24 hours till 6am today was recorded 16 millimeters (mm) at Khepupara in Barishal division.
The sun sets at 6:13 pm today and rises at 5:54 am tomorrow in the capital.
