Swechhasebak League, Chattra League pay tribute to Bangabandhu

Awami Swechhasebak League, Bangladesh Chattra League and Mohila Awami League leaders paid tributes to the father of the nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman by lighting up candles in the small hours on the first day of the mourning month of August.

The leaders and activists of the Awami League affiliated organizations assembled with candles in front of Bangabandhu Bhaban at Dhanmondi road no-32 at around 12:01pm last night. Later, they placed wreath at the portrait of Father of the Nation.

Acting president of Awami Swechhasebak League Gazi Mesbaul Hossain and its general secretary AKM Afzalur Rahman Babu led the procession.

Other central and city unit leaders, among others, attended the function.

Apart from this, Chattra League brought out a procession led by its president Al Nahian Khan Joy and general secretary Lekhak Bhattacharjee there.

Chattra League central committee, Dhaka University, Dhaka City North and south unit leaders also attended the occasion.
