Tri-nation series turns to bilateral one

Tri-nation series involving Brunei Darussalam, Seychelles and host Bangladesh, which is scheduled to be held in the last week of this month in Sylhet, turned to a bilateral series after Brunei Darussalam officially withdrew their participation from the series to be held in FIFA window.

Bangladesh Football Federation’s general secretary Abu Nayeem Shohag today (Tuesday) informed that due to unavoidable circumstances Brunei is not participating in the series, so Bangladesh football team will play a two-match series against Seychelles in Sylhet.

The first and second match of the series will be held on March 25 and 28 respectively.

Ahead of this series, the national football team is currently undergoing a conditioning camp in Medina, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia under the supervision of national football team’s Spanish coach Javier Cabrera.

Meanwhile, the Bangladesh national football team will play a practice match against Malawi scheduled to be held tomorrow (Wednesday) at Prince Mohammed Bin Abdulaziz Stadium at 7.30 pm (BST).

After completing the camp, the national booters will return home on March 17 and directly land in Sylhet to take part in the series.
