
Uncapped Hasan, Yasir named for WI Tests
Young pacer Hasan Mahmud and batsman Yasir Ali were the only uncapped players to get called up when Bangladesh cricket Board announced an 18-man squad for the forthcoming two-Test series against West Indies, starting from February 3 in Chattogram. Hasan, who made his one-day international debut in the receding ODI series against the same opponents, has a chance to debut in the oldest format of the game while Yasir has an opportunity to represent Bangladesh in any forma for the first time in international cricket. Shakib Al Hasan, who had picked up an injury in the final ODI against West Indies but has recovered since, was also included in squad and pacer Taskin Ahmed, who last played a Test match in September, 2017 was also picked.
