
Vaccination in Rohingya camps is going on smoothly: DG health

Director General (DG) of the Department of Health Prof Dr Abul Bashar Mohammad Khurshid Alam today said that the vaccination program at Cox’s Bazar Rohingya camps is going on well and expressed his satisfaction on overall activities of the department.
The DG said this while visiting different wings of the hospital run by the International Organization for Migration (IOM) and the Covid-19 vaccination program at Kutupalong under Ukhia Upazila.
The DG talks to the people concerned in the local language of Cox’s Bazar with the service providers working in the camp and the service recipients arriving at the camp.
Prof Dr Nazmul Islam, Director Media of the Health Department, Dr Md Mahbubur Rahman, Public Relations Officer Md Akkas Ali Sheikh, senior officers of IOM, Ukhia Upazila Health, and Family Planning Officer, among others, were present at that time.
The vaccination activities have been going on among the Rohingyas since January 26 last.
